Gold and silver prices in India rose on September 25 due to US monetary policy developments, economic data, and geopolitical tensions. Spot gold gained 0.44% to $4,294 per ounce during early trading, while US gold futures advanced 0.62% to $4,324.80 per ounce.

The prices of gold in India vary across cities due to local taxes and market conditions. Delhi saw a price of Rs 1,51,000 for 24K gold, while Mumbai and Kolkata had rates of Rs 1,50,870 and Rs 1,51,010 respectively.

Ashish Rajodiya, Head of Commodities at PL Capital, noted that the next test for gold is whether incoming US data keeps running hot. Stronger-than-expected US economic data could put pressure on gold, while signs of a cooling labour market or renewed geopolitical tensions could support demand for the precious metal.
