Indian Gold Prices Slip Further Amid Weak Buying Sentiment
Gold prices in India have been experiencing losses over the past couple of days. According to local traders, gold traded at Rs 1,49,200 per 10 grams on Thursday. However, on Friday, it dropped by Rs 2,000 to Rs 1.47 lakh per 10 grams due to profit-taking by traders.
The precious metal of 99.9 per cent purity depreciated further, marking its second straight day of losses. The white metal, silver, also declined in price due to heavy selling.
Traders attributed the weakness in bullion prices to a weak buying sentiment in the domestic market. Despite this, spot gold and silver gained marginally in international markets, with spot gold trading at $4,063.70 per ounce and silver rising nearly 2 per cent to $58.59 per ounce.
