Indian Gold Prices Surge Amid Firm Spot Demand

Gold prices in India rose by ₹1,475 to ₹1,50,511 per 10 grams on Thursday as speculators created fresh positions amid firm spot demand. The yellow metal contract for October delivery traded higher by 0.99% on the Multi Commodity Exchange with a business turnover of 2,019 lots. Analysts attributed the increase in prices to market participants creating new positions.

The precious metal's prices rose as speculators took advantage of strong spot demand. Meanwhile, gold futures rose 0.59% to $4,182.06 per ounce in New York.
