Indian Gold Prices Surge Amid Global Market Turbulence
Gold prices in India have risen by ₹177 per 10 grams to ₹1.42 lakh, according to the latest data from the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA). This increase comes after a sharp fluctuation in the bullion market throughout 2026.
The price of gold has seen a significant jump since the beginning of the year, with a nearly ₹9,000 per 10 grams rise. In comparison, silver prices have declined by ₹789 per kilogram, bringing the rate down to ₹2.17 lakh per kg.
Market experts attribute the fluctuations in gold and silver prices to changing global economic conditions, interest-rate expectations, currency movements, and international bullion demand.
