Indian Gold, Silver Markets Hold Steady on October 4
India's gold and silver markets remained stable on October 4, with benchmark rates holding steady across various purities. Gold prices were at ₹1,50,560 per 10 gm, while silver was priced at ₹2,26,610 per kg. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures saw a 0.94% gain to ₹1,50,443 per 10 gm, and silver futures rose by 1.22% to ₹2,26,432 per kg.
The physical retail market saw no changes in prices from major jewellers like Joyalukkas and Malabar Gold & Diamonds, with 22K gold priced at ₹13,675 per gram across most states. Tanishq also listed its 22K gold rate at ₹13,675 per gram, while its 24K gold was quoted at ₹14,967 per gram.
Prices in India are influenced by international spot bullion trends, USD/INR currency dynamics, and anticipatory retail demand ahead of peak festival shopping. Import duties and local transport surcharges also contribute to regional price variations across states.
