Indian Natural Gas Prices Plummet Amid West Virginia Supply Disruptions

Natural gas prices in India settled sharply lower by 4.52% at ₹310.6 due to profit booking after a recent rally, which was triggered by supply disruptions in West Virginia.

The disruption occurred when TC Energy's Columbia Gas Transmission pipeline in Appalachia declared force majeure following an unexpected mechanical issue.

Average US Lower 48 gas production reached 112.5 billion cubic feet per day in September, above the August monthly record of 112.3 bcfd, but daily output was expected to decline toward an eight-month low of 106.9 bcfd due mainly to production losses in West Virginia and Texas.
