Indian Oil Restores Cooking Gas Cylinder Supply Amid International Disruptions

The supply of cooking gas cylinders to domestic consumers has been restored to normal in India, according to Indian Oil officials. This follows disruptions caused by the international political situation affecting the Strait of Hormuz.

The officials clarified that oil companies have taken measures to ensure uninterrupted availability of cooking gas cylinders. In response to a letter from Pasha of Mettupalayam in Coimbatore, an official said that the booking interval for domestic LPG cylinders has been temporarily revised.

Consumers in urban areas can now book their next cylinder after 25 days, while those in rural areas can book one after 45 days. This measure aims to prevent unnecessary bookings caused by anxiety over supply.
