Indian Stock Market Edges Higher Amid Lower Crude Oil Prices
The Indian stock market benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty edged higher in early trade on Thursday amid lower crude oil prices and buying activity in Reliance Industries.
The BSE Sensex climbed 201.43 points to 78,782.43 in opening trade, while the NSE Nifty was marginally up 16.35 points at 24,641.
This comes after a divergence on Monday due to the introduction of a new auction mechanism for shares with futures and options contracts.
