Indian Stock Market Ends Week Lower Despite Friday's Recovery
The Indian stock market ended lower for the seventh consecutive week due to weak domestic and global signals.
Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty recovered on Friday, supported by value buying in blue-chip stocks across banking, oil and gas, and automobile sectors.
Sensex closed at 73,895.74, gaining 315.20 points or 0.43%, while Nifty rose to 23,140.50, up 77.40 points or 0.34%.
Crude oil prices remain a key macroeconomic factor for domestic markets, and any fresh escalation in Middle East tensions could push prices higher.
