Indian Stock Market Rebounds on Crude Price Easing
The Indian stock market rebounded on Wednesday after crude oil prices eased, providing relief to inflation and external balance concerns. The Sensex rose by 283.66 points, while the Nifty50 climbed 85.55 points.
Easing Brent crude oil prices, now trading at $98.29 per barrel, helped alleviate some of the pressure on India's economy. However, sustained selling by Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) remains a challenge for domestic equities, with FIIs offloading equities worth Rs 3,809.99 crore on Tuesday.
Global market cues were mixed, with US markets ending on a mixed note and some Asian markets trading lower. The moderation in crude prices has eased some pressure on India's inflation and external balances, but that relief remains vulnerable to renewed geopolitical escalation.
