Indian Stock Markets Surge as Crude Oil Prices Plummet
Indian stock markets opened higher on Wednesday, driven by a significant drop in crude oil prices and positive global equity trends.
The Sensex, India's benchmark index, climbed 285 points to 77,944.02, while the Nifty50 was up 23.25 points to 24,356.10 in early trade.
The decline in Brent crude oil prices, which fell by 2.66% to $86.22 per barrel, is seen as a key positive catalyst for the domestic market.
Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) also contributed to the positive sentiment by buying equities worth Rs 1,593.53 crore on Tuesday.
