Indian Stocks Crash Amid West Asia Tensions, Oil Price Surge
The Indian stock market plummeted on Wednesday due to escalating tensions in West Asia and surging crude oil prices.
The benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty, tumbled as Brent crude neared $100 per barrel, a level that could intensify inflationary pressures and weigh on the rupee and current account for India.
Radhakrishnan, Founder & CEO of HST Wealth, warned that sustained crude prices around or above $100 could squeeze corporate margins and diminish expectations of monetary easing.
