Indian Stocks Plunge Amid Oil Price Concerns
Indian equity benchmark indices experienced a sharp decline on Thursday as investors became risk-averse amid increasing crude oil prices and a global bond market rout.
The Sensex plummeted 1,247.71 points or 1.67% to close at 73,580.54 while the Nifty dropped 383.70 points or 1.64% to settle at 23,063.10.
Experts pointed out that a sustained close below 23,000 could extend the downside towards the 22,900-22,800 zone with 23,200 likely acting as immediate resistance during recovery attempts.
