Leading consumer electronics companies in India, including LG, Daikin, Samsung, Voltas, Bosch, Havells, and Godrej, have informed their trade partners of price increases ranging from 4-10% starting October 1. This will be the third price hike this year, with cumulative increases up to 16-18% since January.

The price revisions are attributed to a sharp rise in input costs, including copper (up 34%), resin (17%), steel (24%), and aluminium (16%). Companies like LG Electronics India have communicated that despite absorbing these pressures, the current cost environment necessitates price revision to ensure continued product quality, supply stability, and long-term sustainability of operations.

Samsung has already raised television prices by ₹1,000-₹10,000 across its 43-inch to 75-inch range. Daikin India's managing director KJ Jawa stated that the unprecedented pressure on input costs and supply chains is leaving manufacturers with little room to absorb further increases.
