India’s gold market is seeing a revival as lower prices and the wedding season draw buyers back to stores. After months of high prices deterring purchases, foot traffic is increasing in the October-December quarter, according to Crisil Ratings, the Indian arm of S&P Global. The analysis covers 76 organized retailers, representing about a third of the industry’s revenue.

More visitors are making purchases, signaling a rebound in demand. The festive season, combined with a pullback in gold prices, has created a favorable environment for buyers. This trend is particularly notable as the wedding season gets underway, a time when gold jewelry is traditionally in high demand.

Crisil Ratings highlights that the organized retail sector is benefiting from this uptick in activity. The data suggests that consumers are responding positively to the recent price adjustments, which have made gold more accessible.
