India's Gold Prices Remain Steady on August 16 After Volatile Week

The gold price in India remained steady on August 16, after a volatile week of fluctuations. According to the latest benchmark rate, 24K gold was priced at ₹15,513 per gram, while 22K gold and 18K gold were priced at ₹14,220 per gram and ₹11,635 per gram respectively.

The domestic gold market saw no fresh trading activity over the weekend, resulting in steady prices across various cities. The national rates for 24K, 22K, and 18K gold stood at ₹1,55,130 per 10 grams, ₹1,42,200 per 10 grams, and ₹1,16,350 per 10 grams respectively.

The MCX is closed on Sunday, with the latest direction linked to Friday's close and global bullion movements. International gold prices ended the week with some recovery after a recent sell-off, gaining 0.4% to $4,380.40 per troy ounce at the end of the week.
