India's Silver Rates Surge as Seven Cities Jump ₹50 Per 10 Grams

Silver rates in India surged on Friday, ending a three-session lull. The two-tier city structure that held since Tuesday was flipped outright, as seven cities jumped to ₹2,500 per 10 grams, ₹25,000 per 100 grams and ₹2,50,000 per kilogram.

The jump was a gain of ₹50 per 10 grams, or 2.04 percent, compared to Thursday's rates. Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kerala, which had carried the premium rate through the flat stretch, instead slipped marginally to ₹2,499 per 10 grams, ₹24,990 per 100 grams and ₹2,49,900 per kilogram.

Dealers said the shift followed three unusually quiet sessions through Wednesday and Thursday, during which global silver prices traded in a tight range. The broader upward pull in the metal reasserted itself after the pause.
