Indonesia Reassures Philippines on Coal Supply Amid Export Framework Revamp
The Philippines has secured an assurance from Indonesia that its new coal export framework will not disrupt supply to partner economies, including the Philippines.
Indonesia's Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) clarified that the new export rules aim to improve transparency and traceability in coal transactions.
The Philippine delegation led by Energy Secretary Sharon S. Garin met with Indonesian officials in Jakarta, where they discussed cooperation on liquefied natural gas (LNG) and renewable energy.
