Iowa Gas Prices Climb Four Cents Amid Crude Oil Decline

The average price of regular unleaded gasoline in Iowa has increased by four cents over the past week, according to the latest AAA Weekly Fuel Report.

As of Wednesday, August 5, the statewide average was $3.79 per gallon, which is 82 cents higher than the same time last year.

Iowa diesel prices also rose, increasing by 14 cents this week to an average of $5.11 per gallon.

Crude oil prices saw a decline this week, with West Texas Intermediate crude falling $9.37 per barrel to $75.61 and Brent crude dropping $11.01 to $79.52.
