Iran, Afghanistan Strengthen Ties in Oil and Gas Sector Through Joint Cooperation Talks

Afghanistan and Iran have strengthened their ties in the oil and gas sector through recent talks between officials from both countries.

The discussions, which took place in Tehran, covered expanding cooperation in the oil and gas industry, addressing Afghanistan's oil and gas requirements, and pursuing joint exploration activities.

The Iranian side expressed its readiness for comprehensive cooperation, enhanced coordination, and the implementation of joint projects in the areas under discussion.

Mullah Ahmad Jan Bilal and his delegation toured the Iranian Ministry of Oil's research center and oil refineries in Tehran, where they received briefings on the facilities' operations, resources, and technical and professional capacities.
