Iran Blinks in Standoff With US Amid Stable Oil Prices

Oil prices stabilized on Friday as tensions between Iran and the US remain high. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called for an end to the war, acknowledging the financial toll it has taken.

The Strait of Hormuz remains a concern, but analysts suggest that pipelines, shuttles, and other factors are adding barrels, making up for any potential losses due to blockages.

Despite Iran's threats, some experts believe sanctions have brought them to heel. However, others caution that the country may still be able to outlast US economic pressure.

Brent settled at $94.39 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate settled at $87.06 per barrel, both showing gains for the week of 6.3% and 5.6%, respectively.
