Iran Boosts Drilling Capacity with New Rigs
The Iranian oil industry is expanding its drilling capacity with the addition of three new rigs to the country's fleet, according to Pars Oil and Gas Company CEO Touraj Dehghani. This move aims to accelerate development projects in the Persian Gulf and maintain gas production from the South Pars field.
Over the past two years, the company has increased its stabilized rich gas production capacity by 30 million cubic meters from the shared South Pars field. This increase is attributed to development and completion activities in Phase 11 of the development plan and infill work.
In the same period, the company achieved a daily production record of 730 million cubic meters of gas in South Pars, demonstrating its continued efforts to maintain and increase production capacity from this shared field.
