Iran Claims Billions Made Amid Blockade, Warns Other Countries Against Joining US Economic War
Iran's Supreme National Security Council head Mohsen Rezaee claims that despite US sanctions and a naval blockade, Iran has made billions of dollars in revenue. He stated that Iran had sold over 70 million barrels of oil in recent months, bypassing the blockade.
In an interview with Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), Rezaee warned other countries against joining the US 'economic war' against Iran, threatening to strike their interests if they do so. He also claimed that Iran had not attacked American bases unprovoked before, but now would retaliate by striking oil and economic companies around Iran.
Rezaee accused the US of intentionally fostering regional conflicts to sell more weapons, saying that Iran has no interest in war. He defended previous negotiations with the US, stating that Iran is not a warmonger but will defend its nation against all threats.
