Iran Claims Strait of Hormuz Strike Amid Record Tehran Rally
Iran has claimed to have struck an oil tanker attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. This move comes as hundreds of thousands of people gathered in Tehran, marking one of the largest displays of support for the government since a US and Israeli attack in February.
The incident has also prompted South Korea to consider expanding its naval operation in the Gulf of Aden off the Arabian Peninsula. However, Seoul has made it clear that it will not send troops to intervene in the conflict between Iran and other nations.
