Iran Completes Major Offshore Oil Platform Amid Wartime Conditions

Iranian engineers have completed the installation of a major offshore oil platform at the Reshadat field in the Persian Gulf, despite wartime conditions. The platform is expected to more than triple crude oil production within six months.

The new platform features units for crude oil processing, power generation, and water injection, designed to maintain reservoir pressure and support sustained production. Engineers involved in the project stated that construction and offshore operations continued throughout the recent conflict despite the risk of US and Israeli attacks.

Offshore facilities damaged during the conflict were reportedly restored to production within seven to ten days. The Reshadat oil field, located approximately 100 kilometers from Lavan Island, primarily produces light crude oil alongside associated natural gas transported to Lavan for processing.
