Iran Denies US Role in Guiding Oil Through Hormuz Amid Strategic Dispute

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf denied claims by White House adviser Stephen Miller that the US had guided 130 million barrels of oil through the Strait of Hormuz over the past 14 days. In a tweet, Ghalibaf stated that there was no truth to these allegations.

The dispute stems from conflicting accounts about control and access to the strategic waterway. The White House said nearly 1,500 commercial vessels carrying approximately 750 million barrels of crude oil had crossed the strait under US protection in recent months.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy disputed these claims, stating that Iran retained 'full control' of Hormuz and would maintain restrictions on unauthorized shipping until the US met Iran's conditions.
