Iran's Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad met with Armenia's Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan in Tehran. The meeting focused on expanding cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector.

Paknejad noted that current cooperation is based on Armenia supplying electricity to Iran in exchange for gas. However, he proposed options for expanding this arrangement.

The parties agreed to establish a working group on energy issues, with a specific emphasis on gas supplies. Paknejad suggested starting the group's work as soon as possible, so that results could be evaluated at the next negotiations.
