Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad announced that his country sold oil worth $11.5 billion during the war, and another $6.5 billion in sales while a ceasefire was in effect.

The minister attributed the increase in exports to lower risks for tankers during the ceasefire. The sale of around 100 million barrels of crude oil and gas condensate from reserves also contributed to this increase.

Paknejad noted that these sales have generated more than 60% of the oil revenue set in the Islamic Republic's annual budget.
