Iran Offers to Reopen Strait of Hormuz in Exchange for Trump's Concessions

The Iranian government has proposed reopening the Strait of Hormuz within seven days, contingent upon three conditions being met by the United States. The proposal was outlined by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi during a private gathering on September 24 in New York.

The three conditions set by Iran include lifting its naval blockade of Iranian ports, waiving sanctions on Iranian oil sales, and observing a ceasefire that includes Lebanon.

This development comes as diplomatic efforts to end the war between the US and Iran intensify. The disruption of the Strait of Hormuz has put pressure on global energy markets, with around one-fifth of the world's traded oil and gas passing through the waterway before the conflict.
