Iran Oil Industry Sees Record Foreign Investment Spurt
Iran's oil industry has seen significant foreign investment in recent months, according to the country's minister of economic affairs and finance. Ehsan Khandouzi reported that $4.8 billion worth of foreign investment was made in the oil sector between March 21, 2023, and February 22, 2024.
This marks a substantial increase compared to previous years, with the total value of foreign investment in Iran's oil industry reaching new heights. Khandouzi attributed this growth to the country's efforts to attract more foreign capital and stimulate economic development.
The Iranian administration also reported that non-oil trade with neighboring countries has seen a 2.5% increase, reaching $55 billion. This figure represents the total value of goods traded between Iran and its 15 neighboring states over the past 11 months.
