Iran Strikes Oil Tanker in Strait of Hormuz Amid Pro-Government Rally

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps has claimed to have struck an oil tanker attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, citing an 'illegal attempt' by the vessel. The tanker, identified as Trend with a Togo flag, was allegedly targeted due to its unauthorized passage through the strait. Iran has asserted control over the waterway since the US and Israel launched attacks in February.

The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported a 'security incident' involving a vessel 16 nautical miles northeast of Khasab, Oman. The crew was safe, but it's unclear if this incident is related to the attack claimed by Iran.

Thousands of Iranians participated in a rally in Tehran, pledging to take up arms and sacrifice their lives for the country. Participants chanted 'Death to America' and 'Death to Israel,' while trampling flags of the US and Israel.
