Iran Targets US Ships, Tunnels Cleared in Lebanon
The Israeli military has cleared Hezbollah tunnels on the Ali al-Taher ridge in Lebanon, according to recent reports. This comes as Iranian forces have targeted three US ships and three oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, claiming it as retaliation for US strikes.
A former NSC adviser, Jacob Nagel, suggested that six to nine months of economic pressure could push Iranians back into the streets, warning Tehran still has the ability to retaliate. Israeli intelligence suggests Iran is coordinating with regional allies, including Hezbollah and Hamas, for a simultaneous attack on Israel.
The US has launched strikes against Iranian oil tankers in response to the targeting of US ships, according to CENTCOM. The airstrikes were carried out after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched ballistic missiles at two US Navy ships.
