Iran Transfers $7.5B in Oil Revenues Amid US Naval Blockade
Iran's central bank has received $7.5 billion in oil revenues from sales during the first four months of the current Iranian year, according to a report by Fars News Agency.
The funds are expected to cover the government's foreign-currency expenditures from July through December, indicating that Iran has enough oil available for sale outside the US naval blockade to meet its revenue requirements under the state budget.
Oil revenues for March 21-July 22 reached 99% of the amount projected in the budget for the period, showing a strong performance despite the disruption caused by the US naval blockade.
