The possibility of an Iran truce has led to a decrease in global energy prices and US natural gas futures, but experts warn that risks of flare-ups remain high.

According to Natural Gas Intelligence, the easing of war tensions in the Middle East weighed on global energy prices early this week. This had a ripple effect on US natural gas futures, which also cooled down as a result.

However, despite the initial decrease, experts caution that uncertainty remains high and conflict could drive up demand for US liquefied natural gas (LNG).
