Iran Unveils Target List for US-Backed Strikes: Key Energy Facilities Threatened
Tensions between Iran and the US are escalating as Iran warns of strong retaliation if fresh strikes are launched against its energy infrastructure.
The warning comes after reports claimed that US President Donald Trump is considering military strikes on Iran's energy targets, including Saudi Arabia's Ghawar oil field, the world's largest conventional oil field.
Iran has prepared a comprehensive plan to respond if the US takes military action, according to a senior Iranian security official.
The reported list of targets also includes the UAE's Zakum oil field and Ruways refinery, Qatar's North Field and Ras Laffan natural gas facilities, Kuwait's Burgan oil field, Bahrain's Sitrah refinery and Al-Mihaj, as well as Israel's Leviathan and Tamar gas fields.
The situation remains tense, with no official announcement from the White House on whether military action will be approved.
