Iran-US Indirect Talks Continue Amid Ongoing Tensions
Iran and the United States remain engaged in indirect communication through third-party mediation efforts despite recent tensions. This was confirmed by Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei, who stated that 'the exchange of messages between Iran and the United States and the activity of the mediators continue.'
This announcement comes as military operations in the region enter a temporary lull following nearly two weeks of nightly strikes. Despite this pause, social media platforms saw continued activity from President Donald Trump, who posted visual content depicting military action against Iranian maritime and energy assets.
The images showed a naval operation with the caption 'this is our oil tanker now,' as well as targeted strikes on oil infrastructure at Kharg Island, Iran's primary crude oil export facility. Another post showed an exploding vessel accompanied by the text 'no more engines.'
Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei emphasized that maintaining the territorial integrity of Lebanon and ceasing Israeli military operations are essential conditions for resolving the current hostilities.
