The Iran-US naval standoff in the Strait of Hormuz has escalated further, with reports of continuous strikes on US warships. The Red Sea area is also witnessing heightened tensions as Yemen's Houthis attack Saudi cities, deepening the conflict.

Iran launched ballistic missiles at US warships that had been denying access through the Strait of Hormuz on Monday (local time). The US retaliated Tuesday by striking Iranian oil tankers near Kharg Island, which is home to Iran's biggest oil facility.

The IRGC is warning crew members of tankers operating in the ports of Kuwait and Bahrain to abandon ship, saying that they will target those tankers next. Iran has stated in the past that it attacked US aircraft carriers and other vessels in the early days of the war.
