Iran War Drives US Gas Prices Up Over 30%
The ongoing war in Iran has led to a significant increase in gas prices across the United States. According to data from motor club AAA, the national average gas price has soared by more than 30% since the U.S. and Israel launched their military campaign against Iran.
As of August 6, the average national gas price stands at close to $4 per gallon, up from mid-May when prices began to drop around 50 cents. This increase is putting a strain on household budgets across the country.
The war in Iran has had a ripple effect on the global oil supply, causing prices to constrict and driving them up.
