Iran Warns Oil Tankers: Transit Without Permission Risks Damage

Seven oil tankers have been targeted in the Strait of Hormuz over the past five days, according to maritime reports. The incidents occurred when the vessels attempted to transit the strait without permission or outside designated routes.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has stated that any vessel attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz without Iran's permission would face damage.

Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi, spokesman for the IRGC, explained that the vessel would 'either be targeted or strike a mine.'
