Iranian Oil Exports Surge Amid Conflict and Ceasefire
Iran's oil exports have been a significant contributor to the country's revenue during the ongoing conflict. Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad announced that his country sold oil worth $11.5 billion during the war, and an additional $6.5 billion in sales were made while the ceasefire was in effect.
The increase in exports during the ceasefire can be attributed to lower risks for tankers. The sale of around 100 million barrels of crude oil and gas condensate from reserves has also opened up, Paknejad noted.
These sales have generated more than 60% of the oil revenue set in the Islamic Republic's annual budget, according to the minister.
