Iran's Economic Woes Deepen Amid War-Related Damage and Oil Sales Decline
Iran's economic problems have worsened significantly since its war with the US and Israel. President Masoud Pezeshkian said that rising prices are driven by higher import costs and falling state revenues caused by reduced oil sales.
The Iranian leader noted that imported goods now take longer and more expensive routes to enter Iran, pushing up prices.
Pezeshkian also highlighted the damage to industrial facilities during the conflict, which has added to the economic strain. Many factories were hit and destroyed during the Israel-US attacks, reducing tax revenues for the government.
