Iraq Aims to Double Oil Production by 2031
Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falih Al Zaidi announced that the country's oil production is projected to hit 10 million barrels per day by 2031. He emphasized the need for foreign investment and international partnerships to bolster Iraq's economy as the nation strengthens its sovereignty and reduces foreign military presence.
Al Zaidi highlighted the government's efforts to prevent international isolation and expand cooperation with other nations. He noted that Iraq is working to establish a new economic identity, focusing on infrastructure development, particularly in electricity.
The prime minister stressed the importance of active international partnerships, especially with economically developed countries, to navigate the challenges posed by the current economic crisis.
