Iraq Crude Transported Through Strait of Hormuz for First Time in Decades
Iraq's Oil Tankers Company has successfully transported 2 million barrels of Iraqi crude through the Strait of Hormuz, according to its director general. This marks a significant milestone for the company, as it is their first such operation in decades.
The shipment was made aboard a very large crude carrier (VLCC), which is a type of tanker designed to transport massive amounts of oil. The Strait of Hormuz, located between Iran and Oman, is a critical waterway for global oil trade.
