Iraq Seeks OPEC Quota Hike to 6 Million Barrels Per Day
Iraq has formally requested an increase in its OPEC production quota to 6 million barrels per day, significantly higher than its current ceiling of 4.431 million barrels per day.
The request is part of a broader effort by the country's oil ministry to raise production targets and align them with Iraq's long-term goals.
Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani has stated that Iraq aims to reach 10 million barrels per day by 2030, which would make it one of the world's top producers.
