Iraq Seeks Special Consideration on Oil Exports Through Strait of Hormuz
Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi met with Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf in Baghdad on Wednesday, discussing oil exports through the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
Halbousi called for 'special consideration' regarding Iraq's oil exports, citing the country's vulnerability to regional developments. He also emphasized the importance of strengthened bilateral ties and cooperation between Baghdad and Tehran.
In a meeting with Qalibaf, Halbousi reaffirmed Baghdad's support for diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving regional crises, stressing the need for 'constructive dialogue' to address outstanding grievances and establish lasting security.
