Iraq Seizes Drone-Launch Platform Used in Attack on Saudi Oil Pipeline
Iraq's Security Media Cell chief Saad Maan announced Saturday that Iraqi authorities had seized a drone-launching platform used to target Saudi Arabia's oil pipeline. The platform was discovered inside Iraqi territory, where investigative procedures are ongoing.
Involving forensic experts and technical documentation, the investigation aims to not only seize the launch platform but also identify those involved in the attack. Communication between Baghdad and Riyadh continues at various levels to exchange intelligence and security information.
Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi approved an Iranian request for a joint investigation after launch platforms for drones were found near the border between the two countries, according to INA.
