Iraq Seizes Drone Platform Used in Saudi Oil Pipeline Attack
Iraqi security authorities have seized a drone-launching platform on Iraqi territory that was allegedly used to attack an oil pipeline in Saudi Arabia. According to Saad Maan, head of Iraq's Security Media Cell, the platform was discovered and seized by an intelligence and security team.
The investigation is ongoing, with forensic experts, technical documentation, inspection, and analysis involved. Iraqi law enforcement agencies are also conducting intensive field and intelligence work to identify those responsible for the attacks.
Baghdad and Riyadh maintain contacts at various levels to exchange intelligence and security information. Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that several drones launched from Iraq struck the East-West oil pipeline, causing injuries and material damage.
