Iraqi Gold Prices Stable in Baghdad, Rise in Erbil
The price of gold in Iraq has shown stability in Baghdad and a slight increase in Erbil. In Baghdad, the wholesale market prices for gold remained unchanged from Saturday to Sunday, with one mithqal of 21-carat Gulf, Turkish, and European gold selling at 950,000 dinars and purchasing at 946,000 dinars. The same prices were recorded yesterday.
The agency's reporter also indicated that the selling price for one mithqal of 21-carat Iraqi gold was 920,000 dinars, while the purchase price was 916,000 dinars. In jewelry shops, the selling price of Gulf gold mithqal ranged between 950,000 and 960,000 dinars.
In Erbil, however, gold prices recorded a slight increase. The selling price of 22-carat gold per gram was about 983,000 dinars, while 21-carat gold sold for around 940,000 dinars, and 18-carat gold was priced at approximately 805,000 dinars.
