Iraqi PM Seeks Iran's Help on Strait of Hormuz Oil Shipments
Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi recently visited Tehran to discuss securing oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz. Sources told Alhurra that he asked Iranian officials for a guarantee on the passage of Iraqi oil tankers. This request comes as Baghdad seeks to protect its vital oil exports amid growing shipping disruptions.
The sources stated that Tehran has not provided a clear response, and may react negatively due to al-Zaidi's recent visit to Washington and agreements with US companies.
