Ireland's Grain Purchasers Announce Prices for Harvest 2026
Tirlán and Dairygold, two major Irish grain purchasers, have announced their prices for grains supplied by farmers in Harvest 2026. The companies aim to support their growers through competitive pricing and premium crop opportunities.
Tirlán will pay a base price of €220 per tonne for feed barley, while its malting barley price is set at €228 per tonne. Other grain prices include €230 for wheat, €245 for standard food-grade oats, and €260 for gluten-free oats.
The company's Trading Bonus Scheme remains in place for harvest 2026, providing growers with up to €10 per tonne on all eligible grain supplied, subject to qualifying criteria. Tirlán has also announced that it will pay growers €2m in additional bonuses for premium grains, with over 42% of the Tirlán harvest intake qualifying for a premium payment.
Dairygold has also released its grain pricing for Harvest 2026, with prices ranging from €218 per tonne for barley to €510 at 9% moisture for oilseed rape. The co-op reported excellent grain quality throughout the harvest season, despite dry growing conditions that reduced yields in some crops.
Tirlán's Chairperson Ger O'Brien stated, 'While overall grain intake at 190,000 tonnes was significantly lower than last year's exceptional harvest, our tillage farmers have once again demonstrated remarkable resilience by producing high-quality crops in a challenging environment.'
